Lote Tree Primary Ethos

Our aim is for every child to excel.  We believe that a holistic approach to education through a broad and balanced curriculum, which harnesses the best of Islamic teaching, cultivates responsible, thoughtful and confident young people who excel their potential academically and socially.  This lays the foundation for developing exemplary British Muslim citizens who make a positive contribution to wider society.

At Lote Tree Primary we are committed to encouraging and developing positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle, this includes exercise and a healthy diet. We recognise the importance of offering children the opportunity to make informed choices about what, when, where and why they eat.

We believe that adults (staff, parents and carers) should be good role models by supporting children in understanding how balanced nutrition contributes to a person’s health, happiness and general well-being. We recognise the important connection between a healthy, balanced diet and a child’s ability to learn effectively and achieve high standards in school.

Please see the attached slides which were shown to parents at our recent healthy eating workshop: Healthy Eating Workshop for Parents

We would like to remind parents that we are a ‘Nut Free School’, therefore, food containing nuts are not permitted on our premises.
